"I was in a good mood..."
I was in a good mood when this arrived and was excited to check it out, but that faded quickly. The knife finish looked rough, the handle had small gaps, and the edge wasn’t even. For the price, I really expected cleaner craftsmanship. Disappointed, tbh.
"I really wanted to like this knife..."
I really wanted to like this knife because it looks nice and feels decent in the hand. But the edge just didn’t hold up for me. After only a few dinners chopping onions, chicken, and herbs, it already felt "dull" and needed sharpening. Maybe I just got a bad one, but for the price, I expected it to keep an edge longer. Shipping was fine, but I’m not too happy with the blade itself
"It just doesn’t slice right"
I wanted to like this, but it really doesn’t cut well. The blade kind of drags through vegetables instead of slicing cleanly, which gets annoying fast. after just a little use it already felt dull. Maybe it’s fine for super soft stuff, I don’t know, but for regular veggies it was a letdown.

"Packaging really could’ve been better"
I’m not trying to be overly picky, but the way this knife was shipped was disappointing. It came in a thin box with almost no padding, and the package was dented when it arrived. The sheath even had marks on it, which I don’t think is unreasonable to be annoyed about considering the price. I expected it to be packed a lot more carefully

"Support delay was frustrating"
I started noticing the same pattern with support: long wait, vague response, and no real fix. It took ___ days for them to get back to me, and even then my issue wasn’t resolved. Frustrating, honestly.

"Handle just didn’t feel right"
I really wanted to like this knife, but the handle felt weird pretty much right away. It just doesn’t sit in my hand comfortably and after chopping for a few minutes my palm was already getting sore
Maybe it’s fine for someone else but for me, nope. It was uncomfortable to use and for the price I kinda expected it to feel a lot better

"The knife showed up dull, which was disappointing..."
The knife showed up dull, which was disappointing. I tried slicing tomatoes and it mostly just squished them instead of cutting cleanly. I ended up having to sharpen it myself right away, which was kind of annoying considering the price.

"This knife ended up being such..."
This knife ended up being such a little countertop diva. Every time I used it, I felt like I had to go into full babysitter mode with the cleaning, drying, and worrying about spots or the edge. For the price, I expected something I could use day to day without treating it like some fragile showpiece. It’s just too fussy for me and not worth the hassle

"Kind of a front-heavy dud"
The balance just feels off. It’s way too front heavy, and using it feels awkward, like this thing was designed by a total clown.
"I’m still waiting for it to show up..."
I’m still waiting for it to show up after two weeks, which is frustrating. Not sure what’s going on or if there was some kind of delay, but I expected it to be here by now.

"Decent knife, maybe a little pricey"
I picked up a knife from senkenknives.com, and overall it seems good. It showed up sharp, looks nice on the counter, and the handle feels comfortable enough when I’m using it. Nothing really jumped out as a problem.
That said, for the price, I guess I was expecting it to feel a little more special. It definitely gets the job done for regular kitchen stuff, but I’m not totally sure I’d pay full price again. If you can grab one on sale, it’s probably a better deal

"When I first saw it in person..."
When I first saw it in person, I thought it looked kind of cheap and a little messy, especially for the price. At the same time, there are parts of the design I still kind of like, so it’s not completely bad. I just don’t think it feels as polished or expensive as it should.

"Steel didn’t really hold up"
Not gonna lie, I expected a lot more for the price. The steel felt soft right out of the box, and the edge got dull faster than my cheaper knife. It also picked up marks easily. Overall, it just didn’t feel worth it to me, and I probably wouldn’t buy it again

"Holding up fine, but don’t pretend it’s perfect"
I’ve had my Senken knife for a few months now and I use it almost every day. To be fair, the blade has held up well and hasn’t chipped, even when I’m cutting harder veggies. The handle is still solid too. But it’s annoying that it already needs little touch-up sharpenings here and there. I get that knives need maintenance, but I still feel like Senken could’ve made the edge last longer. Overall, it’s durable enough, but I’m not giving them a free pass on that.
